The World of Kanako

The World of Kanako is streaming on YouTube and Tubi in the US right now, and you can rent or buy it on Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango. Cinova keeps this updated and links you straight into the service.

The World of Kanako does not have a Cinova Score yet. A title needs at least 5 ratings before the community average shows, so for now the page shows a critic score of 6.5. Rate it in the app and you could be one of the first.

When Kanako, a model daughter and a brilliant student, disappears, her mother asks her ex-husband, a violent former policeman, to find her. As his investigation progresses, his idealized image of Kanako cracks: the girl hides a dark life that her father can not even imagine.

The World of Kanako was directed by Tetsuya Nakashima and released in 2014. It stars Koji Yakusho, Nana Komatsu and Hiroya Shimizu.

Open The World of Kanako in the Cinova app, tap Rate, pick a bucket (Exceptional, Excellent, Good, Mediocre or Poor), then answer a few quick head to head picks against movies you have already rated. Cinova turns those picks into a decimal score that is yours, and slots The World of Kanako into your personal ranking.
