Months after Nandi and Jacob’s affair and consequences come to a head, Nandi finds herself unjustly imprisoned, forming an unlikely relationship with fellow inmate Phila for her protection, but prison can’t shield her from the dangers lurking on the outside. The Minister and aspiring Deputy President, along with his aide, use Nandi’s freedom as leverage. Together, they demand that she put a stop to Vuyo’s investigation that threatens to expose the Minister’s darkest secrets, destroy him publicly and shatter all illusions with his loyal wife, Delisiwe. Desperate to protect her daughter, Zinhle, and reclaim her freedom, Nandi turns to people she hoped never to need again.

Distressed and hospitalized, Zinhle begs to see her mother. In desperation, Vuyo turns to dark solutions hoping to get Nandi's charges dropped.
After finding a damning recording, Zinhle confronts Vuyo about his secrecy around Brenda's death. A friend from prison pays Nandi an unexpected visit.
When Vuyo refuses to cooperate and give in to demands, blackmail drives Nandi to take matters into her own hands, along with Phila's faithful help.
With gaps in Leonard's memory, Nandi takes the opportunity to rewrite her family's story in a positive light. Precious struggles to move past her trauma.
Zinhle struggles to see her mother in the same light, when Phila steps into the picture. Precious asks Jacob to keep their relationship private.
Leonard reels over the aftermath of his actions, unable to shake the flashbacks of memories. Vilakazi shows up uninvited, questioning Precious's loyalty.
Vilakazi tightens the leash on both Nandi and Precious, when he suspects that they may be involved more intimately with Jacob behind his back.
Precious's regrets run six feet deep as she faces the consequences of her actions. Zinhle's decisions have her waking up in bed with her own mistakes.
As the truth begins to spill over, Vilakazi's wife is unable to stomach her husband's misdeeds. Clinton and Zinhle find themselves in the lion's den.
